Australian Defence Force Veterans – Overseas Household Services (ADFV-OHS) assists eligible Australian veterans living abroad to access support services funded through the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA).
We specialise in coordinating the practical delivery of two key support programs:
• Household Services
• Attendant Care
These services support veterans whose accepted service-related conditions affect their ability to manage domestic tasks or daily living activities.
Household Services support veterans who are unable to maintain their home environment due to accepted service-related conditions.
Services may include assistance with:
• Domestic cleaning
• Laundry
• Lawn mowing and gardening
• Grocery shopping
• General home maintenance
• Accessibility modifications where approved.
Attendant Care provides assistance with personal daily living activities when a veteran’s accepted conditions affect their ability to manage these tasks independently.
Support may include:
• Personal hygiene assistance
• Dressing and grooming
• Mobility support within the home
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• other essential daily living activities.
ADFV-OHS helps veterans manage the entire process of accessing and coordinating these services.
Our role can include:
• Assisting with DVA Household Services and Attendant Care claims
• Coordinating supporting medical documentation where required
• Identifying suitable local service providers
• Scheduling services in line with approved support hours
• Managing invoicing and payment arrangements
• Ensuring services operate within DVA approval limits. Email: support@adfv-ohs.com.au Tel: +61 (0)403 908 360 or find us at www.adfv-ohs.com.au
While these programs are funded through DVA, organising and coordinating services outside Australia can be complicated.
Veterans living overseas may face challenges such as:
• Identifying suitable providers
• Confirming service availability
• Managing scheduling and payments
• Ensuring services comply with DVA requirements.
ADFV-OHS assists by coordinating these services so veterans can access their entitlements without unnecessary administrative burden.
• Household Services
• Attendant Care
These services are designed to assist veterans whose accepted service-related conditions affect their ability to manage domestic tasks or daily living activities.
Whether you are already receiving support or are preparing to lodge a claim, ADFV-OHS can assist in coordinating the services you are entitled to through DVA.
Our support is free to eligible veterans, with services funded through existing DVA entitlements.
